Mitchell Cemetery Business Meeting                                                                 5/25/25

Jadin Defreece, from Lindley Creek, spoke today. He shared his testimony from being saved to his calling to preach  His father had always impressed upon Jadin to “just follow the Lord.”  He quoted John 1:5, “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not”

Steve Mitchell opened the meeting by asking for the 2024 minutes to be read.  After the reading, no corrections or additions were offered and accepted as read.

Mike Greer’s term of President had been fulfilled. Terry Mitchell made a motion to re-elect Mike Greer into the President position. Adam Thompson made the second and the congregation approved.

Steve turned the focus to the financials where a gain could be seen

Steve mention the fact the speaker’s payment had not been adjusted since 2014 and suggested an increase is warranted.  Adam Thompson made the motion to increase the payment to $100.  Allen Mitchell second and the congregation approve.

Steve turned the floor over to Allen Mitchell to discuss the pavilion.  Allen explained he was looking at a 24 X36 concrete pad with red iron and steel beam.  The pavilion would be open on all four sides and sit immediately behind the building.  Dave Punch mad a motion for the building to begin.  Jeanne Thompson second and the congregation approved.

Larry Rotrammel indicated he was waiting for a couple of stumps to be remove before he could complete the fencing.

Due to confusion as to when the service/business meeting was to begin, minutes were reviewed.  It was determined, in 2023, the service/meeting would be moved to 2pm.

No further business was brought forward.  Michelle Minks made a motion to adjourn.  Terry Mitchell second and the congregation approved.
